Properties

Lenzing Modal is soft, breathable, and has good moisture management. It's also about 50% more water-absorbent than cotton. 

Production

Lenzing uses a unique manufacturing process called Edelweiss Technology. The process is similar to viscose, but with specific modifications to produce fibers with a high wet modulus. 

Environmental impact

Lenzing uses certified forestry to source its wood, and its production technologies are designed to protect the environment. Lenzing fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable under industrial, home, soil, and marine conditions. 

Uses

Lenzing Modal can be used on its own or blended with other textiles. For example, blending modal with wool makes the material denser and less breathable, which helps retain heat.
